Reflection
After completing my project (a documentary) I feel relieved that it is done. I am proud of the overall result, and it matched my expectations. Something I could have improved on is the quality of all the scenes. All the time I have spent working on my documentary has now payed off, and I am very happy that it functions well. It is smooth and efficient, and presents the desired information in an organized way. This project has taught me numerous skills and has improved my editing capabilities throughout the process. It also taught me time management and patience, as it took a great deal of time to complete. In order for my project to have been successful, I followed my criteria and mark scheme so that it could be the best and most successful version.
Overall, I would say my product falls into the 7-8 category as it has the required information and success criteria, for example, it is very smooth and shows no signs of glitching. The style of the documentary appeals to the target audience, which is a positive feature, and informs them of how film has evolved through a variety of ways and topics such as special effects and editing. The visual appearance of the documentary is also good, however it could be improved due to poor quality of a few clips.
After completing an evaluation of the product, I managed to identify not only strengths but weaknesses as well. As of now, my product lacks communication with the public. As of now, it is not published anywhere, therefore it will not be able to reach the largest audience possible. In order to improve this weakness I should publish my documentary onto a website such as YouTube where it can be viewed by multiple people. This will be very beneficial for my documentary as it will help my product reach out to a variety of more people and may even inspire them into learning more about film. If I had to opportunity to redo this project, I would improve the communication with the general public, and I would manage my time more effectively. I would work on my project more on my free time and limit procrastination, in order to make sure my product gets done on time. I do plan on publishing my documentary before the submission of my report.
This project has allowed me to gain numerous skills as well as explore my passion for filmography and behind the scenes editing. Since I was young, my hobbies consisted of creative activities including sketching and video editing, and this project has really enabled me to go into depth learning about the process of filmmaking and several methods used when creating films. I previously also had a great deal of knowledge about editing since my father was involved in this field, however now this project expanded my knowledge and I am more aware of older techniques and methods incorporated on filming techniques.
In terms of the global context (scientific and technical innovation), this topic has allowed me to explore the enhancements in technology over the last fifty years, and make connections to what methods are still being used today. I have learned about the innovations in filming technology, and the many techniques of using technology in filmmaking. I am now more aware about these innovations, as I was not before.

I have definitely become more of a communicator through the process of creating this documentary as it required me to communicate with other individuals involved in the process of creating the documentary. Through communication I have been able to express myself more confidently and creatively than before, and I was able to present my ideas in a clear and understandable way. Communication has also enhanced my collaboration skills as I am able to listen to different perspectives and also take the role of a leader when it came to my documentary.
This project also enhanced my thinking skills, both critical and creative, as I needed to use them both for the creation of my documentary. I used creative skills during the editing of my documentary and I used critical thinking while gathering content and writing the script. I was also an inquirer as I had many questions and had a great amount of curiosity on the subject therefore this allowed me to dig deep into my research and find the answers I needed.
